New Arrivals 2026: Topwater Lures, Crankbaits & Telescopic Rods at Fishnaut

Topwater bites are having a moment. At ICAST 2026 — the fishing industry’s biggest new-product showcase — the talk was dominated by surface lures and weedless presentations that reach fish in heavy cover. That matches what we are seeing in demand from tackle retailers worldwide, so we have expanded our lineup accordingly.

Here is what is new at Fishnaut this season, and why it deserves a spot in your tackle box — or on your shop’s shelves.

Why Topwater Fishing Is the 2026 Trend Worth Stocking

Topwater lures trigger some of the most explosive strikes in fishing: a bass blasting a surface bait is a memory that sells itself. The 2026 shift is toward baits that fish where the big ones live — lily pads, grass mats, shallow banks — without snagging. That is the logic behind the two bait styles below.

New: Weedless Topwater Frog Lures

Our new silicone “thunder” topwater frog lure is built for the nastiest cover. The key features:

  • Double propeller legs that kick and churn the surface as you walk the dog — a commotion profile that pulls strikes from shaded pockets
  • Sizes 8 / 9 / 10 cm so you can match the bait size to local forage
  • Silicone body with a weedless profile that glides over lily pads, hydrilla and matted grass instead of grabbing them
  • Great for bass and snakehead — the two species most likely to smash a frog

It is the classic “fish it slow over the slop and hold on” bait, and exactly the category that dominated the new bait buzz at ICAST 2026. See the frog lure in the shop.

New: Whopper Popper–Style Topwater Lures

For open water, our new 6 g / 65 mm whopper popper–style wobbler brings the loud, splashy presentation that bass cannot ignore:

  • Soft rotating tail creates vibration and a wide wake behind the bait
  • Surface popper profile — walk it, pop it, pause it — ideal for dawn and dusk windows
  • A direct answer to the question “whopper popper or plopper?” — the rotating-tail wobbler gives you the propeller-style commotion in a compact, easy-casting package

This is one of the highest-demand topwater SKUs in the bass market right now. Check it out here.

New: Topwater Trolling Lures with Rotating Tails

For anglers covering water or targeting catfish and bass from a moving boat, our new 9.2 cm / 6 g topwater trolling hard bait with a soft rotating tail delivers steady surface action behind a slow troll. It doubles as a cast-and-walk bait in calm water — one SKU, two jobs.

New: Crankbait Lure Kits

A crankbait is the workhorse of any tackle shelf, and we have bundled them properly: a 5-piece crankbait lure kit (7.5 cm / 10 g hard baits with barbed treble hooks) that covers the classic bass-fishing wobble in one value pack.

  • For anglers: enough variety to learn depth and action preferences without buying five singles
  • For retailers: an easy add-on SKU with strong unit economics and repeat-purchase potential

See the crankbait kit.

New: Portable Telescopic Fishing Rods

Travel is where our rod range has grown fastest. Two new telescopic models cover the most common asks:

  • M-action telescopic lure rod (1.6 / 1.8 / 2.1 / 2.4 m) — fiberglass blanks with ceramic guides, spinning or casting, multi-water use, collapses compactly for travel see it
  • Hard-action telescopic rod for bass and trout — a baitcasting-friendly lure pole for anglers who want more backbone in a portable package see it

Both are a natural fit for kayak anglers, travelers, and shops with a travel-gear section.

Also Restocked: Rigging Tools & Accessories

Alongside the headline lures, we restocked the everyday gear every angler needs — and every retailer should bundle:

  • Stainless steel deep-throat hook remover (with a small non-magnetic version for delicate work) — the safe-unhooking essential
  • 30-piece float / bobber stop and connector kit for saltwater rigging
  • 5 m stainless steel fish stringer with reel and lanyard — keep the catch secured
  • Rotating iron lures available in wholesale quantities for the spinnerbait side of your shelf
