4. Trailer Addition: For more bulk and a more natural sink rate, you can add a soft plastic trailer (like a swim bait or worm) onto the hook, especially in colder water temperatures.

5. Retrieve Speed: If the fish are active, reel quickly. If they are lethargic, reel slower so the blade just barely ticks the surface.
